Information Technology has been called the lifeblood of business operations because it plays a key role in how information is created, stored, exchanged and used throughout the business world today. IT specialists are in high demand, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has forecast that the field will grow by 12 percent through 2024, well above average for all career fields.

 


 

Cisoc CCENT/ICND 1

This course prepares students to take the Cisco ICND 1 certification exam, and is a prerequisite for taking ITCV 2203 Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching / ICND2. Topics include a review of networking fundamentals, Ethernet LANs, and IPv4 addressing, subnetting and services, and an introduction to IPv6. Students will configure real Cisco routers and switches in hands-on labs.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Voice & Data Networking or instructor approval.
