EMT: Emergency Medical Technician

Start your healthcare career as an Emergency Medical Technician with our EMT program. The EMT is a front-line, entry-level healthcare provider. As an EMT, you may work in a variety of environments: on an ambulance, hospital emergency department, or fire service. EMT certification is required for those seeking Paramedic education, and many doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers started their careers as EMTs. (192 hours).

There are 52 hours of clinical time required (36-EMS, 12-Fire, & 4-Pediatric). We are the only program in the state that maintains a contract with Tulsa Fire Department. You are required to purchase a uniform. We will provide information. Upon successful completion our EMT program, you will be eligible to take the national certifying exam (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians – NREMT).
