IT specialists are in high demand, and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has forecast that the field will grow by 12 percent through 2024, well above average for all career fields.



Mobile Development Android

A hands on introduction to designing, developing, debugging and testing mobile applications using Java and targeting Android-based mobile devices. Among the topics to be covered: taking advantage of Android's APIs for data storage, retrieval, user preferences, files, databases, and content providers, and using Android's communication APIs for SMS, telephony, network management, and Internet resources.

*Prerequisites: Introduction to Java or instructor approval.

Once you are enrolled in "Mobile Development Android," you are eligible to purchase a Student ID for $5 to access TCC Library services and the Fitness Center for the Fall semester. After your purchase, go the Student Services department on any TCC Campus to have your student ID created.
