Students will gain the foundational knowledge and skills needed to participate in and lead successful projects in information technology and other industries where the ability to work as a part of a team and respond to changes in real-time is critical. Proficiency in teamwork, leadership, ethical, and communication skills will be attained. 



Principles of Project Management

An introduction to the basic theory and principles of project management. Emphasis is on the major Process Groups of Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling and Closing and how the steps interrelate during the project life cycle. Students will expand their knowledge and increase their aptitude in the use of the interpersonal skills needed to participate in a team-based environment. Through a hands-on approach, students will develop teamwork, leadership, ethical and communications skills required, as well as techniques for building trust and resolving conflicts with project participants.
